來自澳洲布里斯本的胡頌恆神父(Fr. John Wotherspoon)有「廟街神父」、「監獄神父」之稱，神父為了更能洞徹基層人士的生活和心情，租住在藏着世間百態的油麻地廟街中劏房裏，他追求這些簡單的生活，就是要幫助和服務釋囚、露宿者、吸毒者等有需要的人。在胡神父眼中，無可否認，他們是曾經錯過，但是這個世界誰敢說自己沒有犯過錯呢？胡神父相信曾犯過錯的人也能如破繭而出的蝴蝶，振翅高飛、改過自新。胡神父先後成立了Mercy Centre / Mercy HK等機構來服務他們，機構需要經費來營運。今次展覽，展出者把10幅中的7幅畫作捐出，所得不扣除費用，全數捐贈胡神父的善功服務。

Fr. John Wotherspoon from Brisbane, Australia is known as the "Temple Street priest" and "Prison priest". In order to better understand the life and mood of the grassroots, the priest rents a sub-chamber in Temple Street, YauMaTei, a place where is well known as the criminal district in Hong Kong. He pursues these simple lives in order to help and serve people in need, such as released prisoners, street sleepers, and drug addicts. In the eyes of Father John, there is no denying that they have done wrongly before, but who in this world dares to say that they have not made a mistake? Father John believes that people who have made mistakes can flutter their wings and reform like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon. Father has established Mercy Centre / Mercy HK and other institutions to serve them, and these institutions need funds to operate. In this exhibition, the exhibitor will donate 7, out of the 10, paintings for charity sales, and the gross proceeds will be donated to Father John’s charitable services without deduction of fees.
